PS2 Playstation 2 PS2 DTL-T / TOOL Development T10000 T15000 Devkit dev kit thread

ok i just copied the zip file with all the copies of opl, from my windows pc to my ubuntu, extracted it there and then tried to run it and i still get an error saying section header not found. does this mean that the zip file containing all the copies of opl is corrupted?

Check sha1sum.
Code:
$ openssl sha1 OPNPS2LD-DTL_T10000\=1----0.9.3+.1562-Beta-41f7cf0.ELF
SHA1(OPNPS2LD-DTL_T10000=1----0.9.3+.1562-Beta-41f7cf0.ELF)= 27c4512e5f3bb3aa09074a7eef92beb20126cdde

i found out the problem, the zip i downloaded was corrupted i had a friend send me his and it worked.

i can get opl booted but my USB controller has no response. i am using the pademu version. what usb controller are you using?

I am using dualshock 3. Dualshock 4 will also work.
is there a ulaunch.elf version for tool ps2, i have one of those japanese ps2 external hdds and it came to life when i ran opl, i would like to see its contents without having to open the enclosure first.

As far as I know, there isn't any available.

ok, if i were to image my japanese external ps2 hdd would you be interested in that? it might have some ps2bb stuff

Ok, opl launches ok but when i try to play both a retail or beta game on usb, opl freezes and the terminal spits this out. Any ideas?

Whoops, forgot some important flags.

Use the following reset command before running OPL:
Code:
reset -i 0x70010 0x100

the terman isnt spitting out any errors but i have tried 1 beta game and i dont know if its the build or opl but the controller wount function. then i tried 2 different retail games and it said the .iso's were fragmented.

ok ive ran a couple of games and bets's and i cant seem to get the controller to function after i boot the game. its like its not even there.

i thought pad emu was enabled by default since i can move around opl menu without changing settings. im using the .elf file that had pademu in the name.

how does disc defragmenter help?

No, it needs to be enabled manually. Press Start; and it should pull up a menu including pademu settings. Turn that on and save the configuration.

It will get rid of that error.

These are the two main settings menus, there is nothing stating about padenu.

you want me to defrag a flash drive, wont that break the flash drive?

Actually, I think it's in the triangle menu, not the start menu.

Your flash drive should be fine as long as it's not a poor quality one. To avoid this issue in the future, transfer large files one at a time, then place your small files.
