Yes, it is possible to access PS2 HDD in Linux using pfsshell or hdl_dump.

do you have any commands for me on the tool or would it be better to just open it and copy it from a pc?

These are the two main settings menus, there is nothing stating about padenu.

you want me to defrag a flash drive, wont that break the flash drive?
Don't defrag your USB - you will kill your flash, check this article:
ok, if i were to image my japanese external ps2 hdd would you be interested in that? it might have some ps2bb stuff
It is better not to run any app with HDD attached cause you can remove temp partitions that can contain useful data. But you already run OPL with it - that means that +OPL partition is already created which is not good. Detach your HDDs, make backups, and post it in this thread:
Some CEX PS2 HDD dumps...

Then you can play with them.

For browsing HDDs you can use this program on windows:

If you ever wonder why your DTL smells horrible, it's probably this sponge that's deteriorating, had to remove it on 2 of my kits, thankfully wasn't present on the DTL-T15000, it makes an awful mess if you leave it too long

Any chance to get HDD images from these TOOLs?
I come bearing gifts:

note 10k kit 1 was tampered with before i dumped it (new user account "dev" added but thats it). the second kit was untouched.

also strangely enough, the second kits drive1 dump compressed is larger than the compressed dump from the first kit, was expecting it to be similar in size. i havn't run recovery on either yet, ill try run r-studio over them soon and upload the scn files to mega

i've added the r-studio recovery scn files for all 4 drives to save you time, you can find them in the folders in the previous post
