Little troubleshooting tip...

If you get the following when loading the dev9 module:
Code:
DEV9 device driver v1.0 - Copyright (c) 2003 Marcus R. Brown

dev9: CXD9566 detected.
dev9: T10K detected.
dev9: 16-bit PCMCIA card detected. Vcc = 3V
dev9: MANFID 0x00f15300 not found.
dev9: SPEED Lite not found.

try taking out the PCMCIA card, then putting it back in, ensuring that it is inserted all the way.

Here is another possible list of issues and their potential solution.

  • Shutting down the system using the "Shutdown" option in the Web UI does not shut down the system.
  • Holding down the power button at the top to shut down will shut down immediately without waiting on the SBC.
  • When clicking "PlayStation2 RTC" on the Web UI, it will just hang (instead of showing an error page or the RTC selection menu)
  • dsnetm isn't accepting connections

In all these cases, try reseating the SBC.

Hey guys.

So I bought a DTL-T10000H A, the only USB ports it has is at the front, I plugged in a Lenovo KU-1619 keyboard. When I turned the console on, the keyboard num and caps lock lights turn on and then off during boot and it doesn’t work or function when trying to enter the set up. I’m assuming that the keyboard is too modern to use, could anyone recommend some keyboard that would work with the console please?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

not necessary, the usb ports on the tool ps2 are only for the ps2 side. if your tying to input commands on the Linux board then the usb ports in front wont help you. im assuming you have your vga monitor connected to the Linux board on the back of the tool. near that port is a ps/2 keyboard port. now if you want to type commands directly on the tool ps2 that is fine only temporarily for setting up but is not advised for long term use. i wrote the tool ps2 command guide and user manual and am more than happy to walk you through how to use your tool and maintain it. i have a discord handle of slycooper124 if your interested. I can help you learn how to use this.

Thanks for the response I do appreciate it. I’ve sent you a friend request on discord in hope you’ll be able to give me some help with this as there’s something that’s different to this model TOOL compared to most

A note on removing port covers from the serial port: make sure you don't also remove the screw posts as that is the only part holding them to the bracket. Partially unscrew it until a gap appears, then use a tool between the gap to hold the screw post and unscrew the screws to remove the port cover and screws only, leaving the screw posts behind.
