Yeah, i went suprised after i originally posted testing HvP with Battlefront 3, tutorial videos popped up on Youtube

Like i said on the original 2021 post, the plugin works considering you follow the tips ChromeX said, of avoiding the OG Xbox function to generate conflicts. but as expected, HvP works for most builds, but it won't work with the more specific ones, like more niche games, including the Assault Horizon build i decided to test

The negative point of the current situation, is that originally ChromeX and James were open to give support to incompatible games to work with HvP, but last time Chrome has been seen was like, 2020, and i can't access James userpage(i guess is more fault of Obscure's cache issues), so it's safe to assume that HvP turned out into an "abanddonware" even if 2 years old, not sure how the plugin scenario is active for Xbox 360, but one possible solution, would be someone developing their own spiritual successor of the plugin, however that would require legit interest of the user to spend hours into programming it, and seen if the effort would worth is, as yeah, most would say it would be "less of a headache" to get a Dev Kit or a Xbox 360 compatible with RGLoader

Well, i wish luck if we may get some news at the future related to Dev Builds on retail consoles, as most say, time is a virtue
Sorry I completely forgot that this plugin even existed, I never uploaded a source when it was released because it was messy.

I can't remember exactly what I'm doing in the hypervisor but I think I'm checking if it failed a import resolve to just make it a nop instead of failing the module load.
And the reason I had to use the name "hvp" is so I can replace the module in the kernel to resolve our import table instead of a failed one that doesn't exist and it needed to be small.

Going to bump this, I'm aware how old this post is, however we are looking at adding more compatibility to HvP.

1. We've heard RGH3 doesn't work, finding this a bit confusing as we've dumped HV on my RGH3 and compared and nothing has changed, maybe someone who has an RGH3 that doesn't work could provide a HV dump to confirm some things?

2. Any builds that don't launch at all but are known to work on a devkit without issues, please provide details.. (excluding Xbox original stuff).

3. If the build launches fine but then fails on loading or during gameplay etc that will likely be related to that particular build.

4. If the game is laggy etc, could be related to a variety of things, including the debug prints that absolutely spam on some builds.

Theoretically fixing a few games that don't work could dramatically increase the overall compatibility.

Hi. Thanks for looking into expanding the HvP compatibility. My Xbox 360 is a Jasper Glitch2 variant. The only prototypes I've tried are the Killer Instinct prototype builds and Need for Speed Shift prototype. When I launch these prototypes with the current HvP, I get a "fatal error" notification and I get booted back to the main Xbox dashboard. The prototype does run on Xenia albeit, occasional crashes due to the instability of the prototype.

UPDATE:
James has been hard at work on HvP2, in testing it seems to be a lot more compatible as well as seems to have fixed issues with RGH3 etc..

We went through the comments in here and grabbed a few builds that were mentioned not to work and got them working.

we were able to successfully run the driver debug builds, def jam 2 (until it seemed to have ran out of memory, thinking 1GB kit maybe needed), Lego Batman prototype, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, Blur 2, and splinter cell blacklist (although it has a license issue and restarts after loading, this is related to the build though, would do that on an XDK anyway).

With this many builds fixed, theory is that a lot more will be as well.

Testing was all done on an RGH3.

Let me know if you need any testers, I have a 0F Jasper BB (Shows up in dashlaunch as Glitch2m) and the HvP plugin doesn't work on my console the same as those with RGH3, I found an RGH3 version of HvP which works however with it active I can no longer launch dashlaunch (Backscreen) with me having to manually delete the ini via FTP and reboot to open dashlaunch again, my goal with this console is to play a lot of the leaked CoD devbuilds so i'm very interested in a fix

Compatibility looks a load better, is working fine on RGH3 etc now, other patches / features to help, auto unloads when launching og Xbox games (no longer crashes), Xex menu can launch exe files while using HvP2 as well now.

Still no ETA on release, but we are looking for testers as explained above!

Im interested in testing this and U have some developmental builds for some games but idk where that discord is
