I can't find it for sale. Is it ok if I replace it with LM317? Or maybe someone knows a direct replacement.

I don't think a LM317 is going to work - that has a dropout voltage of between 1 and 2 volts depending on operating conditions - and the output of that regulator is only 650mV lower than the input - the spec sheet says the dropout is < 500mV, so that's probably your limiting parameter.

It's got an 800mV reference voltage, so you are going to need feedback resistors with a ratio of 2.3125:1 - if you use 0.1% resistors and 5k to ground and 11.5k to the output you should get 2.64V out, which should be close enough...
