I think it means the serial port SD adapter, e.g. when launching via DreamShell. A SD -> microSD adapter should work fine.

@megavolt85 thank you so much for your hard work in bringing Metal Slug 6 and other Atomiswave games to the Dreamcast. It's incredible to see how year after year the Dreamcast keeps on having new developments in the broadest sense of the word.
