while soldering some wires to the small side power board of the gameboy original, i did a short circuit accidentally between ground and the dmg pins (pins 2 & 3) of the side board, although batteries were removed, it had stored power, since then the gameboy works, but screen is full of squares and corrupted display, tried the backlit screen on another gameboy, it works fine, so iam left with catridge board and small power board.
this is a moded gameboy with bivert chip installed, so where to start ? a short due to stored voltage probably in a capacitor caused this... thnx
