PS3 DECR-1000 Footswitch?

Hey there,
Wanted to know if there was a way to jimmy-rig together a footswitch for core dumps on the DECR-1000 jack.

I tried bridging an old audio jack and that didn't seem to trigger it.

Anyone know what's inside the workings of the proper footswitch?

You can use a Piano pedal or a tattoo pedal from what i've been told
