people always lucky got rare stuff come with HDD, MO,Tape or.....
some time it already format or del something .
before touch it, it should asap image it.
in PC use R-drive to full clone to image.
https://www.drive-image.com ( before buy it have 30day use, still good time do all fun)
at the same time we should scan save image, take a look what it have before format or del
use https://www.r-studio.com ( in demo ver. it can not recover big size file , but still can do full scan and save scan list , good for share what you find)
image and recover HDD tested work on :
Saturn Mirage CD Emu
DreamCast HKT-100,HKT-110,HKT-120
PlayStation2 Tool DTL-T10000, DTL-T10000H,DTl-T15000
some game inside dummy file
