PC Ciftree.Dat files from Nancy Drew games

Hi. Does anyone know how to reverse engineer Ciftree.dat files from the older Nancy Drew PC games? The dat tools I found online don't work so they must be set up in a specific way. I am extract to extract the Ciftree.dat file from Nancy Drew: The Final Scene.
