Hello, i came here from AG sadly

I have found this prototype Xbox one elite controller, i cannot seem to find much info about it, i cannot make it sync with an xbox one or pc (wired or wirelessly) but I don't know if its supposed to.

Is this the same controller that the person updated on a retail system and bricked it?

Although it is interesting to me that they chopped off a bit of the back casing right under the right bumper for some reason.

Yes it is the hole punched in the sticker is exactly the same. I find it amazing that now the serial number is censored...

This is why we can’t have nice things. Still a decent find. I do hope after that whole “let me F this up by cramming a retail update into it” you got it at a fair price.

It'd be neat if you could take it apart and see if there are any mechanical or pcb differences. I know microsoft patented a lot of stuff related to the elite and seemed to try out different approaches to a few things like the trigger stops.
