Well I ran out of 3DO M2 demos to show on Sunday so I had to fill the spot with something lol. So I decided to do a ten part series on some of my favorite light gun games

Up first is Confidential Mission! Sega’s lesser talked about arcade light gun game. Never seems to get the love or press it deserves, especially up against the HotD series.

Curious who has played it? Or if not what your favorite light gun shooter is? It’s one of my fav genre’s of games so I’d love to hear!

I have it, I got it a little over a year ago I think. Mine is the Japanese version, since I only have the Japanese light gun. I’ve played the arcade version too. I like it, though maybe not quite as much as HotD 2. Other gun games I like: The Lost World, Time Crisis 2, Crisis Zone, Total Vice, LA Machineguns, Point Blank, and the Silent Scope games.

You'd think Lightgun games would make a come back with the Switch, But it wasn't meant to be.

I was super impressed the 1st time I played Mad Dog McCree in the arcades.

Virtua Cop 1 and 2 are my go to games I guess.

Obviously Operation Wolf too, SMS version I guess as the arcade is a fixed gun.

I just wish Sega would announce a home part of Scarlet Dawn for something

I recently got HOTD4 for the PS3. I kinda delayed getting it because I don’t have a PS Move, and it doesn’t support the Guncon 3. It actually plays surprisingly well with a controller though, and it’s a pretty good port overall. It’s too bad they never made a physical version of it.

A super fun entry into Sega’s light gun catalog even if it doesn’t get talked about as much as the hotd series

Loved this game on Wii, but there was only one arcade only sequel.

I wish I had space for a cab, but for now it's the Saturn port. Ugly AF but the game is so good I just don't seem to mind

The Saturn port is one of the worst conversions of the Model 2 alongside Daytona USA, there was a rumor (or maybe a fact) that the Saturn version was actually rushed as it was one of the final titles for the console in US and Europe.

Indeed, but it was even on the lines that the port was not finished in fact, Tantalus had to slap the assets in and call it a day.
