Amazon was selling these for $30, so I couldn’t resist one for modding.
I’ve seen mods where people build sticks and use the internals of the CD pad to make the sticks work over USB C, but I wanted to go directly into the hardware on board. I thought I’d have to use resistors to push the pot signal over the threshold but interestingly the Sanwa stick functioned perfectly once I had the correct pinout.
Step 2 is pull the internals, build a custom enclosure with the pcb’s, and build in full arcade parts so it’s a Mini in a stick. For no reason other than it sounds fun lol
