Identifying Nintendo RGB Scart Cable

Hi All,

I have come across this Official Nintendo Scart cable and trying to ID it could anyone help?

It isn't a GameCube one as it has 75ohm resistors in it and that was for the SNES / N64 to use RGB, however I can't find anything about an Offical release for this cable by Nintendo for the N64/SNES just rumours.

It looks like the Super Famicom RGB cable but the pin out is 100% for PAL.

I know the GameCube one had a DOL number on the scart end but this one is blank.

It's a French scart cable that came with the SNES.

Just to say that those cables were never sold for N64, as they didn't output RGB.

no but it almost made it to the french n64

Notes:- This revision is specific to France and has the model number 'NUS-001(FRA)' on the base sticker. It is the only PAL revision to contain a 'VDC-NUS' chip necessary for the RGB mod. It also uses a totally different video encoder chip labelled 'S-RGB A' which was also used in late SNES consoles and outputs amplified RGB, unlike the 'ENC-NUS' video encoder chip used in early NTSC consoles. Like many French game consoles Nintendo had obviously planned to include RGB in this model to avoid using SECAM encoding. However they must have changed their mind at the last moment, as there are traces for RGB between the video encoder chip and the 'MULTI OUT' port but Nintendo left off the SMD components needed for it to work.

Ah yeah I have managed to find something on it. Are these hard to find and do they hold any value? Just I got rid of two of my Sony Monitors that I used to use for RGB consoles. So may look to sell to put towards ticking off a couple games on my list. Cheers

Well, here in France they were the standard cord that you had in the console set, so no they're not hard to find.
